Qinghuai river is 110 kilometers long and is the largest river in the Nanjing City area. To get there, you must take bus 14, 23, 26, 33, 43, 46, 63, 81, 87, 88, 301, 317, 701, or 703 to Shi Diyi Yiyuan and walk southwest for 5 minutes to the wharf.
Xuanwu lake is at the foot of the Purple Mountain. Jiuhuashan park and Jiming Temple are nearby.
I spent 4 days in Nanjing and I fully enjoyed my time there. I'd love to see the Sun Yat-Sen Mausoleum or Qinghuai river in autumn, covered in yellow leaves...
